Aaaaand we're back! After two weeks off for exams, now let us take a minute to remember Paul, the world cup octopus..... .. .. .. Okay. So exams have been and gone for deakin students (thank god) no more late night study sessions and everyone looking like members of the coming zombie apocalypse..
What's everyone doing for the holidays? I'm gonna be between home and Geelong so that'll be cool, and stay tuned for an oncoming series of images from a build up of a mini-chopper (the motorcycle not the plane) that I'll be doing with my dad in the weeks to come... Gossip Girl and Kid Cudi's Man on the Moon album reviewed along with more below...
So the days are getting longer and Summer is nearly here, I know I can't wait! Cairn Curran Reservoir is amazingly full so, there's going to be plenty of wake boarding and fun out there it's gonna be so cool, not to mention hitting up the beach when I'm back in Geelong. So now that I have a good four month break, this is what will be filling my time...
I'm Watching
Gossip Girl for those of you that have been living under a rock, is a series that revolves around students attending school in New York City's upper east side and all their comings are documented on a "blog" of sorts, that members of their society can send in "message blasts" to.
Having premiered in 2007, the series now enters into it's fourth season, where the storyline takes place in the new setting of Paris, France. I am yet to watch the fourth season, but is on the cards very soon once I have a few more episodes (I hate running out). I'm sure the show will not disappoint, with amazing performances from the entire cast. I would recommend it for anyone into fashion, city life or those in love with the rich-kid dream... great series either way.. ..8/10
I'm Listening to
Kid Cudi's 2009 debut album Man on the Moon: The End of the Day is an absolute masterpiece. This album is great for those times when you just wanna throw on some headphones, lay down and relax. I was lucky enough to catch Cudi's performance at Good Vibes Festival 2010 and the live show was freakin' awesome a well, and having just gotten into the album then it was great to actually know all the lyrics, and I'm still listening to it all these months later, that's gotta be a testament to the staying power and sheer awesome-ness that is this album. Favourite track on this album would definitely be "Alive" ft. Ratatat... 10/10
That's It
For my mid-week update, I hope you enjoyed it. Check out my friend Stepleft's remix of the track I Ran here as well, have a look at his blog The White Boy Chronicles, for some interesting reviews on upcoming underground dance music. Enjoy!
